Om uppdraget

About us Global protein consumption is skyrocketing—especially meat. And that’s creating massive challenges for health, climate, andanimal welfare. At Project Eaden, we’re tackling this head-on withour patented fiber spinning technology: plant-based meat withauthentic texture and taste. Our LEKKA products are already inmillions of homes across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. Yourmission If you're a mechanical engineer and want to apply your skillsto food production technology, this is your chance to developinnovative mechanical systems for plant-based meat manufacturing, thisis your chance to take the next step and take operationalresponsibility. Join us now as we scale operations in a fast-growing,purpose-driven startup. Key responsibilities Machinery Installation &Commissioning: Support installation of new food processing equipment, perform commissioning and validation procedures, and conductfunctional testing to ensure proper operation before production use.Continuous Modification & Improvement: Analyze existing processes andequipment performance, identify improvements, and design modificationsto increase efficiency, reliability, and food safety compliance.Implement optimizations in the production environment. EquipmentRepair & Troubleshooting: Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, integrated and pneumatic equipment failures. Troubleshoot complexissues in mixers, conveyors, industrial machines, and automationequipment. Implement timely repairs to minimize production downtime.Mechanical Design & Process Optimization: Build and test mechanicalprototypes and operational processes, validate design performancethrough testing and prototyping, iterate designs based on productionfeedback and food safety requirements. Cross-functional Collaboration:Work closely with production, R&D and quality teams to optimizeequipment performance and resolve complex production challenges.Communicate equipment status and maintenance needs to productionplanning and leadership. Technical documentation: Develop and maintaincomprehensive technical documentation including S.O.P.s, schematics, mechanical drawings, process diagrams, and system specifications.Vendor & Contractor Management: Manage relationships with externalvendors, contractors, and service providers. Coordinate procurementactivities, oversee contractor performance, and ensure projectdeliverables meet specifications. Your profile In this role, you'll beresponsible for designing custom food processing equipment, developingmechanical solutions for plant-based protein manufacturing, andsupporting the mechanical engineering needs of our productionoperations. As a hands-on mechanical engineer, you'll work oneverything from equipment design to production support. RequirementsProfessional Experience: 5-8 years of mechanical engineeringexperience in production or manufacturing environment, preferably withexposure to food processing, manufacturing equipment, or automatedsystems. Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in MechanicalEngineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, orrelated technical field. Strong foundation in equipment maintenance, reliability engineering, and manufacturing processes. Knowledge offood industry applications preferred. Technical Skills: Knowledge ofmanufacturing processes and production optimization techniques, familiarity with lean manufacturing principles. Strong troubleshootingabilities with hands-on experience developing mechanical solutions anddiagnosing and repairing mechanical equipment failures. Proficiencywith CAD software, process modeling tools, and manufacturing softwaresystems. Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solvingabilities with experience in root cause analysis and processtroubleshooting. Ability to interpret production data and developlonglasting cost effective engineering solutions. Operational Agility:A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with the ability to adaptquickly in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment. LanguageProficiency: Fluency in English and/or German, with professional levelin the later, with excellent written and verbal communication skills. Why us? Why you should apply now Scaling Big: We’re at an excitinginflection point, transitioning from a pilot phase to scalingoperations. Be part of something transformative and build it from theground up. Top-Tier Backing: We’re supported by world-class VCs andangels who share our vision and believe in our mission. The Time isNow: Food needs a massive transformation. Join us in creatingirresistible, sustainable food that inspires billions to switch awayfrom animal-based meat, fast!
